Biography

Daniel Stilck França holds an Inria Starting Faculty position hosted by the École Normale Supérieure de Lyon (ENS Lyon) and is a member of the QInfo team. He works in the fields of quantum information and computation with a focus on mathematical aspects. Before joining ENS, Daniel was a postdoc at the Qmath group at the university of Copenhagen under the supervision of Matthias Christandl, and before that he did his PhD at the Technical University Munich under the supervision of Michael Wolf. Daniel works in a variety of topics, including:

  • Learning of quantum states and channels.
  • Quantum functional inequalities and quantum Gibbs sampling.
  • Quantum algorithms, with a focus on algorithms for optimization.
  • Near-term quantum computing and its limitations.

You can find all of my papers on the arXiv and they are also listed on Google Scholar.

I am happy to count with a wide network of collaborators and love to travel to give talks. Click here for an interactive map with all of my collaborators and here for an interactive map of all the places where I have already given talks!

Please get in touch if you are interested in a postdoc or internship in any of the topics I am working on! We have several positions in our team!

Do not contact me in my former Copenhagen email address (dsfranca@math.ku.dk). I do not get emails sent there since 05.22!
